The Stars & Stripes NOVA Committee responds to the urgent needs of veterans, service members, first responders, and their families in Herndon and Northern Virginia. Our mission is to provide humanitarian assistance programs to military veterans, first responders, families, caregivers, and the community in need, guided by our motto, "Serving Those Who Serve Us - Leave No One Behind." We are here to proudly serve those who serve us.
Our committee, comprising veterans and military family members, addresses the increasing need for accessible programs, focusing on food security, housing, and PTSD support in Herndon and Northern Virginia. We collaborate with the Virginia Department of Veterans Services, the Governor's Office, and other non-profit organizations, including the Center for Veterans in Transition, Cornerstones, Cook FOR Vets, TEN TEN life, Women Giving Back, and Warriors Ethos, to deliver essential services.
We invite your donation and support for our annual charity fundraising events, which include our 3rd Annual Charity Golf Tournament on Friday, May 22nd, at Herndon Centennial Golf Course, a Stars & Stripes NOVA Committee Fundraiser at the Armed Forces Mutual, a Joint Veterans Day event with the Town of Herndon, VA, in partnership with the American Legion and VFW, and our Clothing and Food Distribution in December.
