The Stars & Stripes NOVA Committee responds to the urgent needs of veterans, service members, first responders, and their families in Herndon and Northern Virginia. We are here to proudly serve those who serve us.

The committee members, a diverse cohort of volunteers including veterans and direct military family members, understand that we must make new programs accessible to the ever-expanding number of veterans, service members, and first responders requiring support in Herndon and Northern Virginia.

The Stars & Stripes NOVA Committee hosts 4 fundraising events per calendar year in support of the needs. 

Our charity fundraising events include a fundraising charity golf event on May 24 at Herndon Centennial Golf Course, a Veterans Day event, and a food and clothing drive in December.

Proceeds raised will go towards an adaptive sports program and food, clothing, and shelter in support of veterans in transition.

 Our committee has successfully hosted 4 events in 2022/2023: a charity event at Reston National Golf in Reston, Virginia, a Veterans Day Fundraiser in Leesburg, and our clothing and food distribution at the Green Lizard in Herndon Virginia.
